a monument to Marshal Georgy Zhukov

 a monument to Marshal Georgy Zhukov was built in Armavir. The monument was designed by local sculptor Sergei Kamyshin. Before the construction of the monument, its creators learned everything about Marshall, and when they were convinced that Zhukov really deserves the monument, it was built. 

Georgy Zhukov was connected with Armavir a lot. In January, 1920 in Armavir, the future great commander received his first military rank of Junior commander of the red army. 10 November 1955, Zhukov arrived in Armavir with the purpose of inspection of functioning of the Armavir military school of pilots, for the film "G. K. Zhukov and Armavir". 

After the monument was built, all residents of Armavir thank and show their respect, and are proud of Georgy Zhukov. The monument can be reached by Shuttle bus number 10, buses number 1, 2 and 3. You must exit at the stops "Rosa Luxemburg" and "Optica"
